12:30 P.M. (or following services): In-Person Reception
On Sunday, July 27th, 2025, Rev. Stanley Maszczak — currently serving as a Novitiate Minister—will be fully ordained and welcomed into the Order of Ordained Ministers at the Metaphysical Chapel of Life and the Church of Enlightenment.
The ordination ceremony will take place as part of our regular hybrid Sunday services, which begin at 11 A.M. (EST). Rev. Bill Whitley (President of the Church of Enlightenment Board of Directors, and Lead Minister at the Metaphysical Chapel of Life), will preside over the ordination ceremony.
An in-person reception will follow—we hope you'll join us!
Rev. Stanley Maszczak (he/they) is a Novitiate Minister at the Chapel as well as a transpersonal coach and consultant. He is committed to helping people realize and embody their fullest expression in the world, while creating affirming, inclusive spaces of unconditional love for people across the infinitely diverse spectrums of our human expression. His ever-evolving work has been greatly impacted by his journey out of Christian fundamentalism in early adulthood, as a gay and gender nonconforming person.
Stanley served in the U.S. Army Reserve for more than 20 years, both during the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy era and after its repeal. He spent his last several years working in the Equal Opportunity and Harassment Prevention and Response Programs, where his greatest joy was facilitating training experiences that helped people better understand themselves and the people around them, in modern social context.
Stanley joined the Metaphysical Chapel of Life in January of 2018, has served as a past Board President, and currently serves as our newsletter editor. He is a lifelong student, studying, honoring, and incorporating aligned metaphysical modalities and traditions that contribute to the wholeness, including Quantum Human Design™, Akashic Records, Tarot, earth-based spirituality, and more. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Pace University in New York; a Bachelor of Metaphysical Science from the University of Metaphysics; and is currently enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at the Pacific School of Religion, based in Berkeley, CA, where he strives to engage all his studies and writing through the lenses of metaphysical spirituality and Christian mysticism.

Rev. Bill Whitley is a Minister with the Metaphysical Chapel of Life and has been a Chapel member since October 25, 1985. Bill currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of The Church of Enlightenment and as the lead minister with the Metaphysical Chapel of Life. Bill is a founding member of the Church of Enlightenment (November 9, 1997) and the Metaphysical Chapel of Life charted through The Church of Enlightenment (April 26, 1998). Bill was instrumental in helping to establish both organizations. Bill previously served on the Board of Directors of The Bridge of Light and was a founding minister with the Chapel of Life charted through The Bridge of Light (April 11, 1986). Bill was a guiding influence that helped the Chapel of Life evolve into the current Metaphysical Chapel of Life.
